SCHOOL POLICY CONCERNING LESSONS, ROAD TEST, DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATIONS
Any new features that augment or enhance the current service, including the release of new tools and resources, shall be subject to the terms and of service. Madera Driving School reserves the right to update and change the terms of service from time to time without notice. Continue use of the service
after any changes shall constitute your consent to such change.
Weather Conditions
In the event of rainy or snowy conditions, please assume that all lessons and classes are still in session.
If we find the conditions to be dangerous or excessive, we will notify you in order to reschedule your appointment. You cannot assume that a lesson is cancelled due to rain or light snow.
Code of Conduct
Our instructors are required to uphold high standards of conduct and professionalism, and we expect the same of our students. If for any reason, the instructor feels like the student is behaving recklessly,
dangerously, and/or disrespectfully, the service will be stopped and forfeited.
We reserve the right to cancel or terminate the lesson or account immediately if the student is intoxicated, for the safety of the instructor and the student. Racial discrimination, sexual harassment, verbal, physical, written or other
abuse (including threats of abuse or retribution) under any circumstances, of any Madera staff, customer, member or officer will not be tolerated. Students cannot be accompanied by any individual, whether a parent, spouse, child or friend.
Covid-19 regulations
We at Madera Driving School take the health and safety of all our customers and employees very seriously. Therefore, we will be following the rules and regulations of the state of NY as well as the department of Motor Vehicles very closely. It’s mandated that masks be worn when entering all places of
business. Therefore, all customers that wish to enter our office must wear a face mask. Accordingly, all students (as well as the instructor) must wear a mask while taking their lesson. Moreover, our vehicles will be sanitized before and after lessons.
RESERVATIONS FOR LESSONS
Appointment lessons are made on a reserved basis. To reserve time, a deposit of the full fee is required in advance. Due Covid-19 (H&M) Madera Driving School will be restricting the students picked up at their address.
RESERVATIONS FOR ROAD TEST
An eighty-five-dollar ($85.00) deposit is required 2 weeks in advance to reserve a car. No cars will be reserved if the fee is not paid. No exception applies!
LATENESS
Minor’s students must bring a responsible person to sign the form with proof of ID. Students are expected to meet the instructor in front on time.
A. If the student is late, the instructor will wait up to 15 minutes before returning to the school. The student will at that time lose the session.
B. If the instructor is late, allow 15 minutes before you call the school. The student’s time will begin when the instructor arrives.
C. In case it has been agreed by (H&M) Madera Driving School to pick up the students at their address that is in the vicinity of the school within a 5-minute drive. Lessons out of the area will require a double lesson. (1 ½ hour lesson). Students are expected to meet the instructor in front of a pre-arranged
address, on time. The instructor will knock on your door or honk the horn or call you if the student is late., the instructor will wait up to 15 minutes before returning to the school. The student will at that time lose the lesson.
